Computers for Assessment Service Project

Meticulon Assessment Service (MAS) – Calgary, Alberta; Pilot project sites also included: Langley, British Columbia; Whitby, Ontario; Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Meticulon Assessment Services (MAS) is an initiative that seeks to determine the employability skills of youth with diverse abilities. This is done through a 10-hour assessment, where individuals are taken through a series of activities, providing support staff with insight into each participant’s unique employability skills. Youth were then provided with an interactive roadmap of their results, as well as personalized coaching to further develop their employability skills.

Through the generous contribution of the Allardyce Bower Foundation, we were able to purchase laptops and other materials to run the MAS pilot project across Canada, assessing a total of 250 individuals. Our pilot results indicated that a large percentage of our youth increased their employability skills, with many translating those improvements into employment opportunities. The Allardyce Bower Foundation was instrumental to the success of MAS, as well as that of the many individuals who benefitted from our service offerings. As we’re submitting funding proposals for the updated MAS 2.0 toolkit, we are continuing to use the laptops to train people with autism. Thank you for your contribution towards our project and for impacting the ongoing success of our participants!
