The Allardyce Bower Foundation is guided by a board of trustees that reviews donation applications once every three months. To qualify for support, your organization will be reviewed against the following criteria:

  • Registration as a charity or amateur athletic association.
  • Status as a non-profit or community group or association.
  • Operating establishment dating back at least one year.
  • Project or event specifics that are being positioned for funding.
  • Tangible benefits to children and their parents.

The Founders

Brent Allardyce

Brent Allardyce began his career in the refrigeration industry in the mid 70’s before eventually founding Thermocarb Ltd. – a leading-edge firm that provides refrigeration and process engineering across all facets of the sector from gas processing to municipal arena solutions.

Today, Brent concentrates his efforts on providing project management expertise to various clients, leading and organizing large-scale projects from conception through to completion.

A tireless philanthropist, Brent’s professional success has primarily fueled his desire and ability to give back to the communities that have given him so much – an effort realized and made possible by the Allardyce Bower Foundation.

Richard (Rick) Bower

In addition to acting as co-settlor for the Allardyce Bower Foundation, Richard Bower also served as Principal and Owner at Allardyce Bower Consulting. He maximized oil and gas efficiencies there while leading a series of industry-first carbon capture innovations.

While his professional accomplishments were impressive, Rick truly found greatness in leading his family and building up the community around him. He showcased his dedication to others through the vision set forth by the Allardyce Bower Foundation and its ongoing efforts in Calgary, Victoria, and the surrounding areas.

Rick Bower will always be remembered, his life serving as a beacon representing the genuine impact the Allardyce Bower Foundation can have on future generations to come.
