City of Calgary

2018: $103,140

Cranston Baseball Field Project

The funds were used on a capital project designed to uplift an existing ball diamond in the deep south of Calgary to bring it up to game field standards.  New baseline fencing, outfield fencing and more were added to the site in a very similar fashion to the Ogden Project.  It helped increase our game field complement for youth in the South.

The new ball diamond was booked out for over 850 hours for youth baseball this season!  What a huge impact!  Additionally, it was booked out for another 75 hours of adult time when the kids were not using it.  Thanks, Allardyce Bower Foundation!
