2023 became a banner year for Camp Carmangay as we were able to provide a refresher to our turn-of- century Hotel and cafe in the form of everything from a much needed interior/exterior coat of  paint to  the structural work necessary to ensure the building will remain in tip top shape for many years to come. 

No longer are the rooms scuffed with the worn out look of neglect but rather now there is the sparkle that reflects the warm cozy ambiance of a welcome and inviting environment.

Although the late spring arrival is imminent and will allow for Camp Carmangay to complete the exterior painting we were able to include some ambitions not originally expected to be completed before the winter months.

Camp Carmangay was very fortunate to be able to expand and maximize the surreal and overwhelming financial support we received from the impacting contribution of our friends at Allardyce Bower by a frugal approach to the expenditure of funds, as well as an insistence on achieving the optimum power of every dollar received.

This included a fresh coat of paint for our historic Hip barn as well as a wrap-around railing on the bottom deck and a brand new wheelchair ramp with additional ramps surrounding the entire lower deck, thus giving access to the hotel where previously there was none.

Camp Carmangay’s cost-free status for deserving youth could not be sustained without the heartfelt endearing efforts of the godsend Allardyce Bower team and we here at Camp Carmangay will remain eternally grateful.
