The BB4CK downtown kitchen is the heart and soul of our organization. Every school day, groups of volunteers give their time to make lunches out of this kitchen and every day these lunches feed more than 2,600 hungry kids across our city. Making this many lunches puts enormous pressure on our kitchen equipment and often things like fridges, meat slicers, or dishwashers break.
The Allardyce Bower Foundation’s investment in the upgrade of kitchen equipment has ensured we have access to facilities that are both safe for our staff and volunteers and that allow us to keep up with increasing demands for our lunch program.
